Random Trail Tales tells the little stories that happen during Thru-Hiking Trails. Tales about the people you meet on the Trail. Tales about the dreams, pains, laughs, tears and unexpected wonders. Tim Voors has hiked the Camino de Santiago Francés in 1999, 2012, 2013 and the Camino del Norte in 2014. In 2013 and 2014 he, his wife and three children hiked sections of the Camino in the summer holidays. In 2015 Tim hiked the 88 Temples Trail, 1200 km around the Island Shikoku in Japan, and the Pacific Crest Trail in America in 2016. Hallo Tim,
We (een vriend van me en ik) kwamen je twee dagen voor het eind van je geweldige pad tegen. Je vertelde ons dat we de eerste Nederlanders waren die je na ongeveer vijf maanden tegen was gekomen. Misschien kun je ons nog herinneren. We vinden het een hele prestatie dat je de Pacific crest trail gelopen hebt. Zo te zien heb je een geweldige tijd gehad en ook een heleboel over jezelf en het leven geleerd. Dan mag je jezelf denk ik wel een gelukkig mens noemen. Ik kan alleen maar zeggen Wauw 🙂

Hey Tim,
I just wanted to say Hello! I met you in April 2016 in a Garage in a San Diego family house, you were getting your boxes and gear ready for the PCT hike, and I asked you where you were from and you said Amsterdam and you asked me and I said Puerto Rico, we talked for a few and you said that you were headed out a day after me. I only made it to big bear and went back home due to family issues, but I’m really glad you conquered the PCT!! Take Care!! A Puerto Rican friend, Frank Gonzalez
